Commercial and industrial building and business owners can now take advantage of a rebate program that offers financial incentives for energy efficient upgrades to buildings in the local Edmonton area.

The program, called Building Energy Retrofit Accelerator, is an attempt at reducing emissions from the operations of commercial, light industrial, and institutional buildings in Edmonton. If buildings are eligible, the program will give financial rebates on buying and installing select energy-efficient equipment such as HVAC, hot water, building controls, building envelope, green building certifications and energy efficient interior and exterior lighting fixtures.
